This die cast metal toy was inspired by Steel Jeeg, more commonly known as Kotetsu Jeeg or Koutetsu Jeeg, a super robot anime created by Go Nagai, creator of the legendary Mazinger Z. This anime TV series was first broadcast on Japanese TV in 1975. In the 80's the series was shown in Latin America, where it was part of a giant robot show called "El Festival de los Robots" which translates to "Festival of Robots". In Latin America, Steel Jeeg was called "El Vengador" (The Avenger). This toy, released the summer of 2011, is made of die cast metal and some plastic. It comes with many accessories based on the anime including Mach Drill, Jeeg Bazooka, Jeeg Lance, Panzeroid and many more. Head, chest, waist, arms, legs and accessories are combined using internal magnets. It has a lot of articulation, which allows you to set the figure in many different poses. It has rubber soles on the bottom of its feet for more stability. Fists are spring loaded and can be fired with a trigger release. This toy is more of a collectors item, or a toy for grown men or young adults. It is not suitable for small children as it contains choking hazards.
